It's a Start

A couple dolls done. All your comments on the last post have helped! To the left is Tavia, finally dressed. I purchased some shoes from CR's Crafts that I hope will fit, but they're not here yet.
The guitar-playin' beatnik is Francine. I forgot all about her, so she wasn't pictured in the WIP photo. She's a new-design-in-progress that I'll probably "let go" because I'm just not happy with it. She really needs some product or something for her hair. And maybe some accessories.

This is another link to an article about the new law that (unless amended) will impact many crafters:

Beautiful! Love the guitar one too.

Tavia is my favorite of the two, most especially because of the colors of her clothing. Francine brings me back to my own "hippie days", though. A real sweetie.

Cut about 12 inches off Francine and you'll know what my hair looks like today. I need "product", too.

Deanna, your work is always so stunning!Your dollies just come alive!
I certainly hope that law gets amended! It will be just awful,if so many wonderful small children's businesses have to close!
Hugs:),

This is odd, and I only say it because you mention not being entirely happy with her, but I think Francine looks like a Frank beatnik. I think it is the highish forehead. Also the placement of the guitar in front of the turtle neck disguises the figure in this photo, so it could be a guy. I wonder if you would feel happier if she was changed to a he.

Hi Robyn, I think Francine looks like she could be a Frank, too, now that you mention it. But she has pretty good sized breasts behind that guitar, so may have to feminize her face/hair a little more.

Thanks!
