You have made me feel much, much better about all the dolls I have yet to complete because I am frequently called away to do another quick project as a gift for a birthday, anniversary or Christmas! So, I end up giving away much more than I finish for myself and have very little to show for my efforts! I know how it is, Deanna. But, when the dolls we leave to finish for Charlotte Massey-Crouchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14084445677389903291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1881634317178823218.post-69628396096676996262009-01-04T00:55:00.000-08:002009-01-04T00:55:00.000-08:00Deanna - what a wonderful bunch - I wish I could p...Deanna - what a wonderful bunch - I wish I could pick one and finish it. But sometimes too much thinking gets in the way of completing. I have about 10-12 creations in progress if I count paintings.

My dad has always said, "Perfectionism is the enemy of progress."Dixie Redmondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18290571323764327616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1881634317178823218.post-10508607155475707462009-01-03T13:46:00.000-08:002009-01-03T13:46:00.000-08:00I wish I only had that many ufo's. :D I get bored ...I wish I only had that many ufo's. :D I get bored very quickly with projects so am always starting something new. I used a variety of techniques to make the faces on the dolls shown. Some are simply sewn and stuffed heads that are needle sculpted with thread.

The features of a couple of those have been painted with acrylic paint. A couple others were painted all over with gesso, Messy Mix, then acrylic paints.

A coupleDeanna Hoganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00207525184418313478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1881634317178823218.post-49591581137933049962009-01-03T12:30:00.000-08:002009-01-03T12:30:00.000-08:00I would love to see the lovely full figured brown ...I would love to see the lovely full figured brown doll on the left done.
