Her hair is fringed trim. Next time, I'll try gluing it on before unravelling the loose edge of the fringe. This may make it easier to find all those pins holding the trim in place while the glue dries.
I'm thinking I'll use this pattern for my Hoffman Challenge entry, but the rules limit the size of the doll. That means I'll have to shorten her a little - probably a half inch in the torso and in the thighs.
The new Harvest Moon doll is lovely. I particularly like the fabric of her skirt, a bit retro. Now I am energized to try this pattern. I've been in a blue funk lately and needed a jump start. Good thing I can always turn to your patterns and get the goose I need!

ReplyDeleteI am so excited, got the mag today with your harvest moon pattern and just love the way you tapered the top of the leg and elbow area....I WILL be making this pattern.....looks like she is the Averill pattern altered....WOW! great job! You ROCK!!!!
