...to make headway on my boy's hair. I'm still not sure if I want to paint hair or use a fiber like mohair. He's already got a rather big head, so I'm worried that fiber hair will only make his head bigger. But I really suck at painting hair.

And now he has a face...
I've made a little more progress on my boy doll. I've painted the head and upper torso, along with the facial features. I'm still undecided if he will have painted or fiber hair. After the hair, I may have to do something with his eyebrows. I really suck at those.
This morning I sewed the little button holes and buttons. Next up ~ denim overalls.

A little progress on Chase
I'm done with the cloth-overlay on my current WIP and have applied one layer of gesso. This morning I sewed some cloth ears for my little guy, and I'm just waiting for the glue to dry before I add a little paperclay to the front of the ears and apply a second coat of gesso. Then the painting begins.
I have all of tomorrow off (unless something comes up), so I'll hope to spend the day productively.

Life Book 2014 June Lessons
I struggled with this lesson, at least at the beginning.
Then just started slapping color on the page and loosened up a little.

http://effywild.com/ Effy's process was interesting: using 15 minute blocks of time to create a page over the course of a week. Great way to work!
