Farewell to Alice

I really had to scrounge around the attic to find an appropriate box (only whacked my head three times on beams). My doll Alice (and Flamingo) will soon be on her way to her new mom. She was made for a storybook challenge/Prims Magazine submission  for MAIDA.

I haven't made a new doll in awhile, and this one was made nearly three years ago. Fellow ODACA member Lillian Alberti has been writing a series of articles for Art Doll Quarterly magazine, and this will be a huge incentive for me to get my act together and make something new so I can be included.

Taking a chance...

...and listing a couple art prints on Etsy. After all, wouldn't it be nice to earn back all the moolah I've spent on art supplies? I can dream, right?

I did my taxes recently and noticed that unlike previous years, I spent hardly anything on FABRIC. Yup. I guess I can call that New Year's Resolution all wrapped up. I had vowed to myself to buy no new fabric since I've got more than enough to last a lifetime. Well, I did have to buy the Hoffman Challenge fabric, but I think that was it! Go me!

Art Journal video flip-through

I finally finished my last Life Book 2014 lesson, then made my video flip-through. This represents many many hours of art journaling. It's been such a learning experience!

This year (soon, I hope), I'd like to select a few of the pages and make cards and prints. They would have to be the lessons that I created with my own style (and not the teachers'). I plan to sell these from my Etsy store. Stay tuned!

And my version of Violette Clark's lesson (used it more as a prompt this time).

I might still add something at the top of this page, given the empty space there.
