I'm teaching an in-person doll class this weekend!
Today is photoshoot day. Enigma is my newest design and will eventually be an online course. I'll be teaching in-person next month.
I've enjoyed the challenge of creating class content (construction of the cloth doll and costuming) in a way that omits the need to bring sewing machines to class. Because of this approach, the character of the doll has been unfolding as the design progressed. Her name is "Enigma" for this reason.

Tentatively name Lisette, this is my most recent doll from my new design. She is made from Windsor Ponte fabric, which I believe is no longer made. There were pros and cons with this fabric. Her hair is Tibetan lamb on the hide. I still need to decide on a final hair-do, and possibly a hat - but otherwise she's done!
Yesterday I painted her wood base. I was trying for a cobblestone sort of effect.
