The tricky part has been designing a pattern and writing instructions that will fit onto 1 piece of paper (front and back). So here's Mirabelle, my very simple doll for the AFIC Designer booklet. The benefit of participating in this way is that it's really great (and inexpensive) advertising.
AFIC will be held April 28 to May 1, 2011. I've never had the opportunity to attend this fantastic conference. Check out the AFIC blog http://www.artisticfiguresincloth.blogspot.com/.

I admire you so much! :-)
Deanna, are you by any chance offering this pattern for sale for those of us who can't attend AFIC? Since I am your biggest fan, I would love to add this to my collection.
love and kisses, Kate
Dixie ~ Thanks so much! You know I admire everything you do to support and encourage the vintage genre (probably my number 1 favorite style!!) You're a terrific teacher and mentor.
Kate ~ How have you been? I've missed our online banter. I would love to make this an official pattern. It's such a simple pancake doll, that I envision her as being a nice canvas to explore all sorts of techniques - so plan to rewrite the pattern to expand on those ideas. AFTER I finish one commissioned "Cecelia" doll.
So many dolls, so little time.
Deanna
