This issue of my newsletter serves as a reminder that we were all beginners at one time, and dolls don't have to be complicated to represent quality, personality, or artistry.
I hope you'll consider opting in.

After my husband got his kidney transplant I had a lot of time on my hands and felt i had to release all the stress built up looking after my husband in the past years. Dollmaking was something I always behind my mind so after doing a lot og searching and buying books, like you Deanna I took my first class with Judi Ward. It was an online class. She gave me the jump start to my doll making.
I had always made stuff such as teddy bears and such and sold my creations at craft shows. But, I started making cloth dolls after I retired. I had made the online acquaintance via blogging with Colleen Babcock. I then met her in person at a quilt show where she gave a three hour class on making a doll head. That was me hooked. I also joined a really great online doll club called Cloth Doll Artistry. Sadly no longer around. They had lots of challenges which made me try different ideas. I have taken quite a few online classes over the years to improve my skills.
