Hoffman Finished!

This is Bella, my Hoffman 2009 doll, finished, but not yet in the mail. That'll have to happen tomorrow, if I find a box the right size and get off work on time.

I'm not completely happy with her hair. You'd think with all stuff I've got here I could find just the right thing.

I'd shortened her torso and legs so she'd fit within the size restrictions. But, I forgot to shorten her skirt - so it's longer than I'd wanted. I've also had to scrunch her down a little, because with her hair and base, she was just a tad over the 20 inch size limit.

WOW! You ARE good! I saw a pic of her in the doll group photos and came over here because what I found so striking about her is her hair....I love her hair.....was hoping you told us what you used! Anyhoo, she is gorgeous! Good luck!

One of the prettiest faces I've seen. I have that "hair" but in cream.

I love her hair it suits her sweet face perfectly! One of these days I'm going to get it together enough to do the Hoffman challenge...

Thanks, everyone!
This year's fabric really appealed to me. I wish I could be more creative in the application of the fabric, like some of the other dollmakers. I can't seem to break away from a basic garment - hence, skirt. Oh well, I'm quite happy with her.

Her hair is fringed upholstery trim. I've got quite a collection of these trims, which I try to buy when I find it on sale. It's quick and easy. I also thought this particular trim would travel well, if the doll is selected.

I was just dropping by checking out your blogs, I myself had a thing for dolls and that’s what gets me really interested on your blog site. I have to say you have a wonderful collection of dolls and the great thing about it is you made them yourself, very impressive. Well done!
